Marlins Invitational (posted 1/16/11) - A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make the 2012 Marlins Invitational a great success. What a TEAM!! And we could not have pulled it off without all of you who volunteered your time and effort. Another HUGE thank you to everyone who donated items to our concessions and coaches room. SPECIAL thanks to our committee chairs who had the extra tasks in making the necessary preparation/planning for such a big event..... Dave Pitlock (Meet Director), Sue Bagans (Concessions), Susan Hunyor and Andrea Weiss (Awards), Jennifer Janis (Marlin Pride), Derek Dexter and Brigid Hranchook (Marshaling), Deanna Kulczycki and Nadine Korneffel (Head Timers), Dave Schoenegge and Cliff Bliss (Head Officials), Bridget Pitlock and Barb Klomp (Coaches Room), Cindy Martin, Jody Boggess, and Michelle Vecellio (Scoring), Lori Coppola (Admissions/Scoring), Vince Fisher and Pam Voss (Control Room). There are so many more people who helped in many of these areas..... our apologies for not naming everyone.

High School Girls (posted 11/12/11) - If you have any high school times that should be used for your YMCA swim season, please be sure to have your high school coach send your times to Coach Brad or Mark Victor at results@macombmarlins.com. This is particularly important if you have times that qualify for any of the YMCA championship meets (State, Zone, Nationals). Any qualifying times that are not published somewhere on the internet (such as the MISCA or MHSAA web sites), then we will also need meet results as proof of your times.

OPEN Board Position (posted 11/12/11) - We are looking for someone to share the 2nd Vice President position with Vince Fisher. For more information, please contact Mark Victor at webmaster@macombmarlins.com.

Control Room Volunteers (posted 11/14/11) - We are looking for a few volunteers who would like to learn how to help run a swim meet from the control room. If you would be interested in learning more, please contact Mark Victor (mark.victor@comcast.net) or Dave Pitlock (dpitlock@yahoo.com).

MyVoice (NEW) - Do you have concerns, complaints, suggestions/ideas, compliments about the Marlins Swim Team that you would like to communicate to the Marlins Board of Directors? The Marlins BOD would like to ensure that your voice is heard. Please send your comments to myvoice@macombmarlins.com. Your message will be delivered to our BOD President where he will ensure that your message will be heard and addressed during an Open Forum at the next monthly scheduled BOD Meeting. Online Signup for this meet has been CLOSED. Entry Deadline was 1/28/2012. For those who have signed up, please submit your entry form/fees to Brigid Hranchook as soon as possible. We have to turn in our entries to the host team by Feb. 3.

Feb. 18, 2012 - YMCA 8 & Under State Championship @ Waterford Mott High School

Our coaches expectations are that ALL 8 & Under swimmers will participate in this meet. The entry fees are paid for by the Marlins Swim Team and ALL 8 & under swimmers are entered. Feb. 19, 2012 - YMCA Michigan District Championship @ Waterford Mott High School

Only swimmers who have NOT qualified for the YMCA State Meet are eligible to swim at the District Meet. More information about this meet can be obtained from the Meet Information web page. The host team has pushed back their entry deadline so we are re-opening the Online Signup for this meet. New Entry Deadline is 2/8/2012.
